This website ("Website") has been set up by Bayer (South East Asia) Pte Ltd ("Bayer") as a community service project ("Project").
Bayer recognises the need to keep your personal information registered with this Website secure.
Personal information refers to any information relating to you (including but not limited to your name, contact number, email address and mailing address) obtained by us via your access to or use of this Website.
We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. Therefore we would like you to keep you informed of our policy in respect of storage, maintenance and deletion of data in our system or database and our security measures.
Collection and Processing of Personal Information
You can use this Website without disclosing your personal information. You are not required to provide your personal information as a condition to use of this Website, except in the case when you wish to register for any of our programs or activities online, including without limitation to enrolling for any membership programs or newsletters.
When you use this Website, we store certain data on our servers for various security purposes. These data may include the name of your internet service provider, the website that you first accessed to link up to this Website, the websites that you visit from this Website and your Internet Protocol address ("IP-Address").

Save as aforesaid, we shall use our best endeavours to maintain your anonymity as a user.

Any information disclosed in public areas of this Website (such as message boards and forms) becomes public information. You should exercise caution when disclosing your personal information in this way. By sending non-personal information via this Website or through any other electronic means, you grant to Bayer and the Bayer Group an unrestricted, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, display, modify, perform and distribute such non-personal information in any manner and for any purpose as Bayer and the Bayer Group shall deem fit.
We collect personal information only when you freely choose to provide it to us, through registration, completion of forms or e-mails.
The database and its contents shall be kept with Bayer's data processors or servers of Bayer or the Bayer Group or that of third parties duly authorized by Bayer. Save for disclosure to and use of your personal information to any entity in the Bayer Group, Bayer's business partners and relevant third parties involved in the Project, and for purposes of security breaches of this Website, illegality, rendering assistance to law enforcement, government or regulatory agencies or complying with applicable laws or pursuant to an order of court, your personal information will not be disclosed by us or by our agents for use by third parties in any form whatsoever, unless we have obtained your consent or are legally required to do so.
We will retain control of and responsibility for the use of any personal information you disclose to us. Some of this information may be stored or processed at computers located in other jurisdictions, such as the United States, whose data protection laws may differ from Singapore. In such cases, we will ensure that appropriate protections are in place to require the data processor in that country to maintain protection on the information that are equivalent to those that apply in Singapore.
Purpose
The personal information we collect will only be used for the purpose of furthering the object of educating the public about the importance of science literacy, supporting hands-on, inquiry-based science programs for students and teachers and encouraging employee volunteerism (“Objective”) and for other purposes for which you have given your consent, except where otherwise provided by law.
Right of Access and Correction
You have the right to review and amend any personal information stored in our system if you believe it may be out of date or incorrect. Just send an e-mail to the address given in the imprint or contact the Data Security Officer at the address below.
Right of Cancellation

Data Retention
We only retain personal information for as long as is necessary for us to render a service you have requested or to which you have given your consent, except where otherwise required by law.
Use of Cookies
In some web sites, so-called Cookies are used in order for us to improve the efficiency of your individual use of the web site. Cookies are identifiers that our web-server could send to your computer in order to identify the computer being used for the duration of the session. Save as permitted by law, Bayer, the Bayer Group, Bayer's business partners, relevant third parties and their respective employees, servants and agents shall not be liable to you or any third party for any direct, indirect, punitive, special, incidental or consequential loss or damage or for any loss of data, profit, revenue or business, whatsoever and howsoever caused (including without limitation to access and use of the Website and its content, conducting of any of the experiments set out in this Website and breach of the security procedure in respect of your personal information) and whether arising out of any negligence or breach of these terms and conditions or otherwise even if that loss or damage was foreseeable by, or the possibility of it was brought to the attention of Bayer, the Bayer Group, Bayer's business partners and relevant third parties.
Indemnity
You shall indemnify and hold Bayer, the Bayer Group, Bayer's business partners, relevant third parties and their respective employees, servants and agents harmless at all times against all actions, proceedings, costs, claims, expenses (including legal costs on a fully indemnity basis), losses (whether direct, indirect or consequential) and damages (whether in tort, contract or otherwise) whatsoever which Bayer, the Bayer Group, Bayer's business partners, relevant third parties and their respective employees, servants and agents may sustain, incur, suffer, or pay arising out of, in connection with or pursuant to, the access and use of the Website by you or any act or omission by you thereof, in particular in relation to any breach and/or non-compliance by you of the terms and conditions herein. This indemnity shall be separate and independent obligation from any other obligation owing to Bayer, the Bayer Group, Bayer's business partners and relevant third parties.
