Materials for everyday use

An introduction of foam materials used in everyday things eg furniture, shoes. Students will learn how foam is produced and what they are used for. They will also get to feel the different types of foam and test its “bouncy qualities” by bouncing a heavy ball on the different samples of foam.

What is needed

• A longish table to display 2 to 3 kinds of foam (measuring about 15 inch by 17 inch).
• A heavy ball (has to be heavy not plastic material).
• Posters to explain
